A deep water and nearshore wave height calibration of the ECOWAVES hindcasting database

Significant wave height (SWH) in shallow waters is assessed by generating two hindcasts; the first uses ERA-Interim wind fields and second one from ERA5 to quantify improvement of surface winds on SWH representativeness, both deep along Chilean coastline. Additionally, field predictions Global Forecast System (GFS) were used assess representativeness waters.
